Tomorrow have A bunch of doctors to visit. Will find out if the pins will be removed from my hands and wrist. Hope all is good, getting real tired of doing lobster boy impersonations. Besides have lots work to get finished, and this being stuck at home for almost 2 months is really getting to me. Plus I think my wife is really getting fed up with me also.

Hang in there Bill. There's light in the end of the tunnel. Now your talking of getting those casts off and pins removed, you have a new bike waiting on you. That's serious progress. Sounds like you will be ready for our beautiful spring riding/love bug season. That's good hand therapy, cleaning off love bugs.
Good luck tomorrow cooldude

Well, the day was mostly good, got the pins and the cast off of my left arm. Doc said the wrist healed nicely. Down to wearing a brace for the next couple weeks. Right hand needs more, another 2 weeks before the pins come out. At least have 5 fingers on the left that work, stiff but work. 3 on the right that work OK. Starting therapy Mon for a couple weeks

That's good progress, Bill! Therapy will be a big help.  Just know we're gonna have one heck of a party when you're back in action.

Whatever therapy give ya to do for better usage of the mitt, go it at home every day till ya go back for more supervised therapy.

If ya don't do the tricks they teach ya, it ain't going to help and just make your recovery last longer.

Good news on the one hand.    If this one your check writing hand?

Hi Bill,

You're making progress. Like RJ says, be sure to do the therapy and whatever else the Doc tells you to do.

We'll keep saying prayers for your complete and speedy recovery. Be nice to the better half, since I'm sure you are driving her crazy.

Also, cheer up, you could be up here with Viv and me. We are getting blasted with snow today. Expecting over a foot, and I think we are close to that now. Can't wait to get back down south!

Bill hoping your fingers/wrist can twist soon and keep the date of Saturday April 19th @ high noon Z-Hills as the showcase for your new ride at the cottage ~ or the Valk-Club-House as Greg Kampschroer calls it.      Cheesy

I do too, but one finger on the right hand was missing part of the bone, so it has a piece inserted inside the bone. Just taking longer for it to bond together. Doc is happy with it, just going to take a couple more weeks to get a solid connection.  I am thankful that he could repair it, other wise I would be missing one finger. I am real lucky for having 10 broken bones  in the hands and a broken wrist to be doing as well as I am. And I really appreciate the prayers and good wishes from everyone.

Sounds like you are making great progress!

When you start PT, do what they tell you and don't cheat yourself!  Do the exercises/stretches and you can expect toi have great results...I know too many people who sandbag through PT and then wonder why they have limited range of motion/strength later.
