Please say a small prayer for my dragon as she undergoes the final stage of her open-carb, sextuple bypass surgery this weekend. Hoping for a miracle because the owner may not be strong enough for a complete transplant. And I sure don't want to have to face a difficult, "end of bike life" decision as I have already had to pull the plugs. Regardless of the outcome, I will always remember her this way....so strong, so vibration-free, so full of life.....

Be careful she may need a transplant.

Remember rehab is for quitters. I can help her thru it.  The garage has a space for her.

The reassembly went smoothly and the engine cranked and ran great on the first try. But have a fuel leak on either side of the carb bank....1 & 2 are the suspects. I am going to tear it back down to see if a gasket or two didn't seat right. Ordering all new gaskets to be sure.
