My first marriage was in Las Vegas many many years ago.... since then I have repeated that mistake twice more, but not necessarily in Vegas.   Shocked

Advise is the same as was told to me back then and a few times since.....  don't do it.    But since you or he probably won't listen to that advise.....  like I didn't...    have fun, enjoy and steer clear of Elvis or MJ impersonators.  cooldude

There are a bunch of tacky wedding chapels in Vegas but there are also some nice and rather reasonable hotel wedding packages that start around $350.  I attended/photographed one outdoor wedding at the Flamingo hotel in Vegas several years ago that was nice without being costly.  I also attended one at the Bellagio that was very upscale, I don't know about costs.

I don't think I would want to start any marriage with one of those tacky $50 Elvis or theme weddings.

In 1987 I got married in Reno at the chapel/church on the set used for the Ponderosa western series.  With all the trees etc and the views it was a beautiful place.  They provided the facilities I provided the minister.  Unfortunitely while the wedding ceremony went well the marriage did not and I ended up paying for both divorce lawyers and paying and paying and pa.................

My daughter got married in Vegas about three years ago at the Flamingo and we all enjoyed it very much. It was well put together and reasonable. The only fly in the ointment was the price of the photgrapher, who took way too many photos and then charged way too much for them. You'll have to be the judge of that. Be careful about the time of year that you go, if it's the vacation season it's crowded and overrun with kids. Otherwise I would highly recommend LV and the Flamingo in particular. Email me if you need any more details. BTW, I have family in Porthcawl.
