Actually the handle bar diameter is 2.54 cm, but one inch is close enough.

So the stock handlebars are 1", how about the stock engine guard?

The engine guards are 1-1/8 inch or 2.8575 cms. You might find the curves a little plus or minus depending how you take the measurement.
