My Alt cover looks like , well it is bubbling and pealing. It had been broken at the bottom bolt and was pushed back a bit.  Probably caused it to get hotter than usual. After a few weeks of searching, I cannot find an aftermarket replacement. I know the part is under 40 bucks on Direct Honda, but I would rather replace the plastic part with some real metal.

You guys know of a replacement?

I don't ever recall one being made.

Cobra built some covers that covered up everything on the 2 sides.

Don't think they make them anymore.

You might try Evil-Bay.

Seen some ads for transmission covers, but have not seen them mounted on bike.  So I am not sure if they cover the altemator also. I am thinking they don't/

Just picked one up at Honda Direct and paid 44.37 with a new rear master cylinder cover and shipping included. Actually my alternator cover was fine it was the master cover that was peeling.

Most of the sites show 2 versions of the cover in the list. Always the same Honda schematics. Wonder what the difference is?

I made some of these of steel about 5 years ago. They are in the raw, meaning unfinished. They must be polished, then plated, or painted, or etched, or whatever you think you'd like them to look like.
They WILL NOT fit with any kind of tranny covers. That meant their popularity was slim, so I quit making them. I still have a few left.

The pics above are one on my bike, after bing chromed.
