Joni and I made it in around 8:30 this evening from Frisco.  It was a long 740 mile ride, but we're home safe!

............740 miles sounds like a long day on the super slab...with minimal rest..(pee) stops..

...I know 400 miles for Chili n me and the gang ...(most had more road time due to living way down state in civilization)...in about 7 hours last week to Copper Harbor...seemed like a good amount of time on the road.....guess it helps when scenery and traffic are in the good karma area....not to mention that "most times"...in the wind....are good times..

Sharkey and Tinkerbell made it home at 100 am. That was my longest day in the saddle 914 miles. Plenty of rest breaks and three meal stops. Every thing went great until 8 miles from the house. I rounded a curve and three deeer were in the road. We managed to miss them and make the last 8 miles.   cooldude

Jan and I are home safe, too.  Didn't pull out of Frisco until 10:15am and did not expect to drive it all in one day, especially after starting rather late.  680 miles later we arrived home at 11:30pm.
Thanks Scott for helping to make another great event for us and the rest of the Valk folks.

How did that trailer work out for you?

The trip out was a challenge.  After making some adjustments to my hitch, it worked out great on the ride home.  With the trailer loaded, as well as the bike...and two up, its a handful at slow speed.  At speed, its fine.

Not sure I can recommend it just yet tho.

I pull a BushTec and was just wondering how yours worked out. The BushTec handles great and the only time I really know it is there is when I need to slow down in a hurry or when starting out from a stop, otherwise I check the mirrors to be sure it is back there. Of course, I also have to remember that with the trailer attached I am as long as a car.

Just got in to Phoenix! 113 as I speak. (but it's a dry heat). Had a great time meeting all the folks that I see on the board. The scenery was excellent, rides a dream come true and mostly, thanks for letting me play staff dude.
P.S. Once again, great family Damon, and Lil Bit, you're gonna LOVE THE ARIZONA WEATHER!! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Pics soon.
