I recieved an original Tourer windshield win I bought my bike. It is pretty beat  up plastic wise. I also received the original windshield brackets. I have an aftermarket shield on my bike now. National Cycles I believe. I  want to buy a Clearview. I have the straps (?) on the Tourer windshield, I also have one horizontal bar and two vertical brackets. Do I have all the hardware I need to mount a Clearview? If someone would post a picture of what it takes, I could match it up with what I have. Sorry, no pictures of my stuff yet, I'm out the door to work.

This is off a 98 Tourer. One horizontal and two vertical in this picture.
The verticals go to brackets on the tubes. I have a picture somewhere
of those I'll look.

This came from Shoptalk click on the link for a schematic.

Keep in mind the OEM windshield doesn't mount or use the same brackets that are on the forks.

In case you haven't found the answer to your question, here are a couple pics of a complete stock windshield bracket. This came off my '97 Tourer.

Thank you Bugslayer. I have it all. One more question. Anyone know where I can get the replacement rubber that is on the windshield itself?

Cheap way out....go to a tire shop and ask if they have an old inner tube they'll let you have. Cut it lengthwise, then lay your parts on it and trace...then cut.

Likely not available as a single part from Honda, but check the parts fish to see.

Years back, I had to create my own fairing shield gasket, and used thick marine grade vinyl from Home Depot or some builders supply.  Saved the old for a template, easy job.

Probably a number of materials from a builders supply could be used.  Maybe even a small piece (or scrap) of vinyl flooring.

I would try to duplicate the thickness of the original gasket, for windshield longevity.

Thank you all. I have all the information and parts I need.   cooldude

I'll figure something out for the rubber. And keep the old for templates.

Is the old gasket messed up? I've reused it over and over, on two sets of
hardware...

I don't know if the gaskets are messed up or not. I put the Honda windshield away a few months ago. I'll get it out this weekend,it's supposed to rain all weekend anyway, and take a look.
