Running my back roads as I normanly do, once in a while you see something out of the norm. I came upon a group of Doves in the road. They sometimes have no fear of traffic and will sit and look at you as you pass them. Well, this one had BALLS like Evil Kinvel, and did not want to give up his / her spot. Taking flight and keeping pace with me, I did slow down to about 40, He / she was flying along beside me. For some strange reason I put my hand up and closed it around the bird.... HOLY sh#@, I had a Dove in my hand ! I did manage to slow down enought as to not dump the Valk. and release the Bird. I pulled over down the road and wondered what just happened ???? Wonders never quit happing !!  Wink Guys, You need to be ready for strange things to happen. I guess, what I`m saying is that you need to be on your toes always.

that bird was probably a home raised bird,, i used to raise them and they would fly right along side for miles and then rest on your shoulder for the ride back home...

I painted this one...

<--clikcy for larger

He flew beside me for miles and miles at a respectable speed in the wilds of the Yukon...using the slipstream of the motorcycle so mostly he was gliding.

I could have touched him...

When he left it was a stark reminder of just how lonely it can be out there...
