I wandered into a sporting goods store on the OR coast today and was surprised to see well stocked shelves, they even had some .380 hydra-shok that I haven't seen around in quite a while.  Sure am hoping supply is loosening up a bit.

Not in AZ.  I keep checking the stores and no go.  I talked to a guy at Walmart yesterday and he told me they got in one case of 9mm and it was gone by 10AM. I'm going to start shoping at 7:00 AM to see if I can find some. Last time I found ammo on the shelf was last Nov.  tickedoff

Go to Walmart at night.... they get their shipments to the floor later in the evening and occasionally I go and make it a point to prod the clerk to check for certain stuff.

However, I know that I am fairly well stocked, depending on your perspective, and have lightened up in the procurement area..... redirecting funds to other things.  I still have my eyes peeled for good deals and certain stuff, but definately being more selective now.  Hopefully others will do the same and free up more of the stuff I really want.... Haven't been able to find any 40 cal. hollow point for awhile. Haven't seen anything hollowpoint on the shelves anywhere around these parts. Not even at the gun show. Nothing but some reloads from individuals.

They  can't sell ammo from 10pm till 7:00 am in AZ. so I plan on being at Walmart at 7:00 AM on my way to work till I find some. It's too hot to go to the out door ranges right now but I just want to have some so I can  go out target shooting when it drops below 100 deg.  Smiley

Hrm... I have been able to buy most of whatever I want at my local dealer.  But they REALLY like me, so I might be getting stuff off the back shelf.  Now... it ain't cheap.  Last box I bought was +P+ 9mm hydrashocks.  $40!!! holy crap!!

But I am not buying in bulk either.

I strolled into a local Wally World last Thursday and was surprised to find 15 boxes of 9mm and 12 boxes of .40 on the shelf.  I was second in line and bought the max per person of 6 boxes (guy in front of me bought the max 6 boxes too) for 8.97/box (50) for some Federal.  Went back about an hour later and saw a different sales person behind the counter and bought the last two boxes of 9mm, (someone actually bought only ONE box of 9mm in that hour I was gone!) two boxes of .40 and a couple of boxes of .22.  Sales person told me they got a shipment of 90 boxes of 9mm that morning and the biggest shipment of .40 they have ever had in MANY months - 25 boxes.  They had no idea on future availablit or shipments - just keep on trying.  Like most places, thye said the minute the shipments arrive, the first person that discovers the find will buy their six box max and start making phone calls to friends and they will ususlly show up withing the hour or so and buy their max.  Most of their supply is gone within a couple of hours.  This is all primarily target ammo.

For carry I use only factory Corbin.  I have enough.  I have enough reloading components to last me quite awhile. .40, .357, 223,

I have sufficient 30/06 and 7.62 x39.  My question?  How much is enough.   Smiley

Technically it's never enough ammo I guess.   I did notice some changes in the AMMO stock at WalMart today, different brands coming old brands gone etc.  I didn't find the bulk 550's in stock or notice a place in the planogram for em.  I got 3 boxes of Federal 9mm (same price as Blazer Brass which I didn't see).   I did notice plenty of 40's tho.....

Is everyone stocking up because of anticipation of (more) major price increases, or for taking on Washington in the coming months?   2funny
