I have a 97 standard that didn't have a windshield. I've bought Memphis Shades mounting hardware and a batwing fairing (still en route). Now I've come across a stock windshield off a 2000 tourer that looks like it has the quick-release metal brackets but not the fork mounted hardware.

Will the MS hardware work with the stock shield?

The Memphis Shades hardware will only work with the Memphis Shades products.  They are also quick release.  I think you will be happy with the batwing verses a stock windshield.  Much more protection that shapes the wind to go around and over.  Also suggest the MS lowers or Rifle lowers to cut turbulence coming up from below.  I had to trim the lowers a bit to get clear of the turn signals, but no big deal.

Thanks. I was thinking I could do three looks: batwing, shield naked, but if they mount different then no deal.
