Just installed speakers and mike in wife's helmet on 99 interstate. Stero and speakers in both helmets work great, after reading the manual cannot get the intercom to operate at all. This is reason bought speakers for intercom. Anyone got any ideas every thing else works. Do not know about cb in hers but mine works. Thanks fast streak

Be sure to have the volume turned up on the intercom/mic. DAMHIKT!

Still no luck. Will the intercom override the radio? With the headphone icon shown the volume is up.

There is a separate volume control for each CB, radio, intercom.

To access the intercom volume, press the Vmode button and then immediately turn up the volume. The radio volume should not increases as you turn up the volume after pressing the Vmode button. May need to turn it up over 15 to hear sound.

It might be helpful to know what type of system you installed in your helmets. I once had Edsets and they worked great. Whatever system you installed IS a corded system that plugs in to the two audio jacks, one on the fairing and one by the left saddlebag, right?
The audio system on the bike was not designed with Bluetooth in mind, if that's what you have.

I have a Chatterbox system installed in our helmets and it works pretty well but doesn't use the bike's intercom system.
