Many years ago I bought some nice (I think)black  denim material doo rags at the Dallas bike show.  I have looked for years for the same thing but have only found the cheapy crap that is no good or ones that have sweat bands, too small, not multi-paneled, etc.   Do not want any art, colors flames, sayings, wording, oogie boogie nothing.  Just a plain black old school thick tough (denim type) material made to last doo rag.  Have not stepped foot into a welding supply store but from what I have seen online they may not be what I am looking for.

Anyone have any leads on a place that I can buy them locally?  I have had BAD luck buying these online and some just get tossed in the trash.

A few years ago, when my wife's roommate in school, she wanted a doo rag when she lost all of her hair to cancer (chemo).

I bought a couple of doo rags emphasis on rags.

She said she wanted a leather one.    I went to the local Harley shop and found one in their box full of leather doo rags.

I bought one and her brother bought one from the welding supplier.    She wore both of them but liked the welder doo rag the best.

When she passed we gave it to the Funeral Director to put on her.    He attempted to put it on, when they had the viewing my wife and I adjusted it to fit like it was designed.

So try a welding supply dealer.

Tuff Rhino sells Mira Cool items with the water retaining crystals.

I had one of these do-rags with a 1" row of crystals across the forehead until I wore it out.  Rag is simple cotton.  Once full of water, the forehead band will not fit under a well fitting helmet, so I would slip it forward just below the crown of my Scorpion EXO100.  I'm not sure it would work with a full face.

Used in hot weather, I would add one of their cooling crystal bandanas around my neck.  They would hold water all day, and evaporation at headband and neck was pretty nice...... thou eventually the water is just as hot as your head... thou still wet.  I charge several with water, then place them in a  ziplock in the fridge, then throw them in the bags in the morning, and still cool later in the day when needed.
