mp3 player for interstate.

I would like to install a mp3 player with usb stick to my interstate. Does anyone know where I can get one that is set up to plug into the valkyrie electrics. I already have one on my GL1800 instead of the CD player. If anyone can help it will be most appreciated.

all I did was  hook my apple ipod/mp3 player to the aux jack with a 6 foot jack extension I bought from target for a couple of bucks. the connection is behind the right side cover if I remember correctly.

Chances are...you will not find a module that will allow you to directly connect your MP3 player to the Valkyrie radio so that you can control your MP3 player from the radio controls.     I have looked pretty hard for one and came up empty and since these bikes are not in current production, you won't get anyone to make one.  You only option is to go with what the other have recommended...plug into your Aux cord with a 1/8" male to male cord and place the MP3 player where you can get to it.

Yea, what Joe says...  But, you can put the radio on AUX and control the volume of the MP3 and if you have a CB, the MP3 will be muted when the CB is receiving a signal.

You could also build an aux fuse panel under the seat and run power to your Ipod or other devices, like GPS, cruise control, cig lighter. Run it from the battery with a fused line on a relay triggered bu the aux wire in the right side panel so it's only hot with the key on.

I found the mp3 player I was using did not have enough power to fully energize the radio aux output.

I had to have the mp3 player at full volume, and the radio also full up volume.

Just was not what I had wanted nor expected.

I use either a standard mp3 player (sansa clip) or my old trusty gps mounted in a RAM mount.  I have a garmin nuvi 680 that has a sd card slot on it that you can load up with mp3's and play through the aux jack with a 6' cord and get directions as well all in one unit.
