Title pretty much says it all, anyone used these tires? I am looking at a V speed rating and wondering if anybody has used General Tires. The other tire I am looking at is a Yokahama AVID Envigor again in a V speed rating. I will gladly listen to any advice!

I'm on a 205/60-16 Altimax HP and it's a great tire. Lots of us Texas folks are on the Altimax. I was on the Falken Ziex 512 in 205/65 before this (it was unavailable for a while in 205/60) and it was great, too.

Ditto on the Altimax. I think I have the "H" rated one. Have ran it on my I/S for 3 years, about 15,000 miles or so with no complaints whatsoever. It is barely showing any wear.
Like it so much, I just mounted another one on my 01 Standard as well.
I get them through a friend for about $85 each.

Been on the Altimax-in fact was my first D/S on the Phatt Ghurl. No complaints. Then on to a Falken Ziex 512, Again-zero complaints. Now on a Nexen 5000 and wonder of wonders-zero complaints. When I get done with the Nexen I see an Austone texi tire as my next D/S choice. RIDE SAFE.

I just removed a Bridgestone Potenza and replaced it with an Austone Taxi tire and in my opinion it handles as well as a MC tire, just sayin.....
The 205/60 Potenza served me well and rode comfortably for around 20K miles, but had developed a noticeable wobble/shimmy at 25 MPH after about 20K. I thought I was beginning to have problems with the steering head bearings, but when the problem became even worse when I replaced my front tire, I began to suspect the Potenza. I had a similar wobble on a car with Potenzas a few years ago, so after reading the reviews on the Austone I decided to try it, and am very pleased with it so far. The profile of the 175R-16 Austone is higher (closer to a 65), much rounder and obviously narrower than the Potenza, so there is almost no counter-steer when compared to the rather square profile of the Bridgestone CT.

I have an Altimax HP 205/60-16 H-speed rating, and quite like it. I don't see a need to go for a V-speed rating on a bike that has a top speed of about 125 MPH and H is good for 130 MPH. Even if I did what it took to do 135 MPH, I wouldn't be worried about my under-loaded H-rated tire disintegrating the moment I got over 130.

I'm not concerned about top end speed so much, it is my understanding that the higher speed ratings will give a stiffer side wall (i.e. better clearance). I considered the Austone as well, but reading some reviews of the tire on another forum convinced me to wait for more guinea pigs on that tire, there seems to be a wobble issue at speeds in excess of 80 mph on the Austone. I never plan on exceeding the speed limit but sometimes it is nice to pass at a high rate of go.

I had to exceed 80 mph out of necessity just once and didn't wobble. Seriously I have tried the Austone on everything from solo to two up fully loaded. Even playing around with triple digits I haven't felt a wobble, and that was with trashed rear bushings and a leaky shock. Replacing those this spring, if it ever warms up.

When I first installed my ATT, 19,000 miles ago, I noticed a very slight wobble at very low speeds (just on launch), I no longer feel it nor do I remember when it went away. I have never felt a wobble at any speed up and including 100 mph. I think who ever posted a wobble issue with the ATT either had some other issue that caused it or possible bad tire (it happens). I would use a ATT again in a heart beat.
