 Angry So last weekend I pulled my rear wheel off to inspect my Swing arm bearings for any lateral movement and check for proper torque. All checked out ok. In the process,when I pulled my rear wheel I found that the o-ring part # 91356-MG9-003  #34 on the Final Driven Gear parts breakdown, had broke. Well, I looked through my spare parts and this o-ring was not among them, so I ordered a couple of them and a couple of each on the other o-rings to have on hand. I was out of town until Thursday evening. I got an e-mail this morning saying that my order was delayed for one of the other o-rings I had ordered. I really wanted to put it together today and ride her this weekend testing out my new shocks,front suspension upgrades and so forth. Does anyone happen to know of an alternative source such as NAPA? I've got the old o-ring but it is broken. Thanks

I'm not sure you can get the right one, but you can always walk the old broken one to the auto parts counter and see if the counterman can get you a copy (diameter and thickness).

I have never had one break.  In fact all the ones I have replaced have really looked OK to me.

It's the second time I've found that one broke. I think it probably got pinched when I had my tire replaced last summer. I am thinking of going down to NAPA and just see. I wasn't sure if there was a specific composition these o-rings are made with.

Heavy equipment dealers or hydraulic hose fabricators usually have a selection .

Why don't you go to the dealer? It's just an O-ring, How much could it be? cooldude

polyurethane o-rings

Redeye

https://sites.google.com/site/valkparts/

Polyurethane o-rings are very tough and abrasion resistant.  Honda's skinny nitrile o-ring wears rapidly, allowing water to wash the moly grease off the drive splines.  The key issues are abrasion resistance and flexibility in the range 0-190 degrees F.  Many polyurethanes easily handle this.
* Big Skinny O-ring (61X2.0   91302-MA6-003)
20 degrees flex in the 5 drive dampers allows reciprocating spin movement, no push movement.  The OEM nitrile o-ring wears out fast. Watch out for 3rd party Dash Number. o-rings 1.78mm (.070").  They're "65% worn out" when brand new.Click on picture, on left.

* Big Fat O-ring (50.5X3.5   91358-MG9-003)
1-2 degrees of backlash between the male and female spline teeth allows a tiny bit of reciprocating spin movement, no push movement.  OEM o-ring is just fine.

* Elusive Third O-ring (39.5X2.4   91356-MG9-003)
1-2 degrees of backlash between the male and female spline teeth allows a tiny bit of reciprocating spin movement, no push movement. OEM o-ring wears slowly. However, it is very easy to cut the OEM nitrile o-ring. Polyurethane won't cut here.

I wish I had checked Redeye first. I'll be ordering a kit which I'll use in the future, but for now... Cheesy

Well the closest Honda dealer is a good 50 minutes away, and yes if I call and they have it I may make the trek in the morning. It just sucks that I ordered and should've had the 0-ring today, but they're holding up shipment because of one other part I ordered(another 0-ring I didn't need right now) coolsmiley

I ordered the Redeye o-rings off of eBay and received them really quick.
