Well, got my front end together and my risers came in this week. So I have not put my Woody's Fairing back on yet, want to test ride and check out my new shocks too.  Had a hiccup with finding a broken o-ring on my final drive. Pulled my rear wheel last weekend to check my swing arm. Ordered new o-rings, figured they'd be here by the end of the week, and one of the non essential parts I ordered is holding up the whole order. Angry May take a trip down to NAPA to see if I can match something up. Anyways here are some shots of my new risers and polished forks and trees.

So, did you change the routing of any cables (throttle) or hoses on the riser install?

Does it turn lock to lock with no binding?  (Good idea to try that with the bike running to see if turning to either lock increases the revs at all; i.e.  a stretched throttle cable)

Looks good.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't have a lot of patients. I really wasn't as hard as it might seem. I pulled the forks apart to rebuild them anyways, I figured I'd give it a whirl. The forks were a bit harder due to the lines that run around the circumference of each tube. I had to sand a little with a Dremel multi tool. The one with the oscillating head and the triangle sanding pad. But most of the work was done with an 8" buffing wheel on my grinder, polishing rouges and Mother's Aluminum Polish. Holding the fork tubes gets heavy while manipulating them across the buffing wheel. But that's what breaks are for. If I were to do it again, I might consider rigging up some kind of jig.

I didn't really need to move the cables. The throttle cables are still on the front side but the clutch cables are on the inside. Didn't over think it too much .No apparent issues either way. cooldude

Lookin pretty snazzy there Jimmytee.   What will those risers do for you.... raise your hands, or bring them closer to you??
