Anyone out there willing to help a brother out.

I tried doing the carb sync using a Twinmax Carb Balancer, I think I might have gotten a bad one cause I have tried doing the sync a couple of times and something is not right.
First time trying to do the sync so I might also be doing something wrong on my end.

Anyone out there have a carb sync set up that would not mind helping me set my carbs?

My carbs were redone last year, new 38 slow jets, new float valves and cleaned everything else.
Desmog has been done and I have a Pingel w/o vacuum so less vacuum hoses to worry about.

Jack I have a Twinmax and have had very good luck with it.  I/we have used it on at least a half dozen bikes with no problems.  Give me a call sometime tomorrow and we can talk.  Probably better than messaging back and forth.  Three 8 six Four 9 six 2 six 5 five.

Remember one thing on any sync gauge.
You have to connect all ports to a single cylinder and adjust liquid height in each of the sync gauge lines before you start trying to sync the engine. If not the best you will do will  be kinda "close".

Jack, give me a call, think I have to take Rita to get her hair done tomorrow...Sunday, then groc. shopping. If you're off any day during the week, let me know if tomorrow doesn't work out. We can check out your gauge first, then use mine. Monday afternoon is also taken...Rita has #3 of 8 infusions at the chemo lab in the Fla. Hospital. Feel free to call any time and leave a message if I don't answer.

Jeff, just talked to Jack, he has to be at work at 1500 today, not enough time for me between other obligations so tentatively Tuesday morning. He'll call me Monday evening just to make sure.

Pappy, Terry and John
Thank you very much for responding to my SOS  Grin

Talked to Terry and John today, they both have the Twinmax

I'll be comparing it to John's and find out what I am doing wrong.

I'll keep you all posted of the findings.

Jeff, Tuesday morning is the next day that works for John and I, hope it works out for you as well.

I'll be at work Tuesday morning. Hope the carb sync goes as planned. I assume mine are pretty close as I have no real problems idling or accelerating. I plan on, at some point, doing the entire desmog and syncing to see if it improves anything or not..and you know who I'll be asking for assistance, well John knows anyway. Roll Eyes
