Welcome aboard Sodge, you will meet a great bunch of folks on this board.  What part of SW Virginia are you from?  I was raised in eastern Ky and used to visit the Breaks Interstate Park in western Virginia from time to time.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. I live in Big Stone Gap. I have noticed if a saw a Valk and asked some questions, the owners were always friendly and helpful. Been looking at this board for a couple of weeks and I told my wife that if you have one of these bikes its like you are part of a family...

Got to go to Detroit to pick it up. Not my idea of a dream ride but the weather is suppose to be nice. Probably go up interstate thru Cincinnati and come back on 23 thru Columbus, OH. I haven't been up that way before even in a car. Since I haven't ridden a Valk before would I be wise to ride back the interstate or 23 with traffic lights and intersections??? LadyDraco, what a small world...

We went 23 down from Columbus through VA to Johnson City last year.  As you said lots of traffic lights but not bad except I didn't care much for the Portsmouth area.

At any rate, welcome to the VRCC.  Lots of friendly people.

She's home!!!! Picked it up yesterday a.m. I had been up for 24hrs so I thought I should trailer it for a while til I was more alert. About 2 1/2 hrs from home I got on it for the home stretch. SWEET....... As I had read. You look down while ur ridn and see that big chrome motor stickn out both sides, it just puts a big ol' grin on your face. I let my brother ( he's a harley man) ride it. As you can guess, he was quiet impressed. His comment was ( I can't believe how smooth it is...) I told him ( it's a honda) Bad News- Today I got flash flood warnings---I guess I'll just go out to the garage and sit on it at least...

Weather broke and I got to ride several short rides. I love it more each time.  Smiley  Have had a few bikes lately but my wife didn't feel secure on any of them. This was the fix. I asked her if she was OK back there and she said " Ride where ever you want, I'll be just fine back here." Time for some accessories$$$

Congrats on getting your Valk!  Smiley Smiley Smiley  I Live in Winston-Salem NC and frequently ride the great roads in Va.  What part of Va do you reside in?  A  get together ride may be in order.  We plan on going to VIR on Sat.the 15th.  Could be a good place to meet.
