I want to replace the valve stems in my Valk, and Jill's Magna, with the bolt-in Yamaha type.  The last time I bought one it was way too small for the hole in the Valk's rim.
Can anyone help me out with a part number or size?
Thanks/

Thanks, Patron.
Jill came home, tonight, with a flat due to a cracked valve stem that was installed last May.  The stems are the main problem we've had with her Magna and my Valk.

See this article I posted several weeks back.

Just might have a bearing on your problem.

Thanks, EB, no doubt  that is contributory since the valve stem in question was installed less than a year ago (May, 2008).    The main cause of the failure, though, is simple physics, I'm afraid.

As you can see, the Magna's  OEM set-up is a problem with some air chucks.

I got around the problem by having a 90 degree stem installed.  The only inner mount style I could lay my hands on was too small, however, so I had to go with what was on hand.  Of course, the Magna rim has no clip to steady the stem, like a Valk rim does ( though I had one fail  even with the clip).

They break in the same place, every time, from whatever you call the force exerted on them while the wheel is spinning, I reckon.

If the only available rubber mount style is coming from China, then replacing them along with the tire is just betting on the manufacturer having a good day.

I have some Chrome 90 deg stems on my Interstate and have had no problems what so ever. I know alot of Wing riders that have been using these for years.

Hi, Krusty.  Long time, etc.
Thanks for the link.  I'll be shopping around for a tire for Jill's Magna, soon.
