Smiley  ok I use ethanol free gas 87 octane.
I have seen some info on this site that says to use 87 octane.
I have also seen some info that says to use premium gas if you have a 6 degree trigger wheel.
Also seen info about pilot screw adjustments and trigger wheels,  mine are set at 2 1/4 turns out.

So if you Guru's  angel could PLEASE enlighten me I would be greatful  cooldude

What octane should I be using ?
How many turns out should my pilot screw's be ?
 Since I have a 6 degree trigger wheel ?

Thanks in advance, cooldude

you should determine whether or not your engine is suffering any pre-ignition pinging.  If you ride in the mountains or ride 2 up a lot, pull a trailer....most likely you are some of the time.  If that is true, then you better switch to premium.  If you have no ping and it runs good, youre fine with what you are running

I run 85 octane, that is the regular around here. The higher the elevation the lower octane you can run for most normal engines. Most places you can't buy lower than 87. Don't waste your money on hight octane gas as you never tell the difference except in your wallet unless you supercharge or raise the compression of your your engine.

My Interstate had a 4 degree, and it really liked mid-grade or better gas. It would use 85, but, lower gas mileage and some spark knock on regular. I got enough better gas mileage to offset the cost of the better gas. cooldude

Just so you know  Wink
Ethanol Free gas cost almost as much as Premium
Ethanol Free 87 octane is 4.19 a gallon
Premium 93 octane is 4.29 a gallon

Regular 87 octane is 3.69 a gallon

Bike is running good but there is a clunky "FEEL" (sound) when I let off the throttle and it still sounds a little off at low speed.  My Wife says it sounds perfect, maybe shes right and I'm just imagining things.

Put another set of NGK plugs in, 3rd set in a month.  First 2 sets were before I got the carb's syncronized right.

Just wanted to make sure about the Pilot screws with the 6 degree  trigger wheel  and since no one has told me to change it from 2 1/4  I guess it's good.

I will check my Exhaust nuts again after my ride home from work today.

Thank's for your reply's  cooldude,

I run a 6 Degree wheel and use 89 octane with zero issues.
