The news just announced that Phoenix/Scottsdale had the hottest Month on Record recording 8 days of 114 or better temps.  My home outside temp gauge recorded a high of 118 on several of those days.  This beat 2006 when we had 7 days over 114.  I could have told them that by just looking at my electric usage.

In the summer I try and keep the house at 78 when I am at home otherwise it cycles up to 82.  During the winter I have it set for 70.  Amazing how I feel comfortable with the 70 in the winter but my body feels fine at 78 during the warm months.

I must admit that I wimped out, left the bike at home and drove the car to work two of those days.  I used the excuse that I had just put new tires on the Vette and wanted to see how it rode.  The fact that it has better air-conditioning than the bike is purely coincidental.

We've been cooler than average all year.

And wetter too.

I got monsooned on yesterday on the way home from work.  No rain gear.  On the bright side... you can only get SO wet, and I was there right away.  After that... the bike can't get any dirtier, and you might as well just relax and enjoy the wetassed ride.

Been so wet here I was starting to wonder if I somehow had been transported to Seatle.

Been so wet here no time to ride, as soon as I finish mowing the lawn it's time to start over.

I believe the weatherman said this morning that here in southern Missouri we were in the top five coldest Julys on record. Must be El Nino.

I spent 2 weeks camping including my 4 nights in Frisco. The warmest morning was 50 deg. A couple of mornings were below 40. Leaving Frisco caused us (RP; Cheryl; Micheal K) to go through rain Sunday. As we dropped down into East Mesa, AZ it got to 113 at my house. YUP: July is the hottest on record. I wish I was in my tent trailer up in the Tetons again.

Sandy,
You knew you would have to come back sometime.  You just knew it didn't you!!!!!  You looked forward to dropping down back into that 110 degree heat didn't you??   coolsmiley

Welcome back and maybe we'll see you at the Pavilions once the sun sets.  That is if we make it back from Prescott in time.
