A bit of background on my valk.  my second valk bought last spring (5500 Mileson it) so I am pretty familiar with them.   only mech changes are K&N, I/S ig module, I/S tank.  bike never did idle quite right.  uses very little fuel for a valk (my last tank running at 60-70 mph was 196 and I didnt hit reserve but close).      I will be heading out in a month so its time for a good look over.   inspected and adjusted timing belts.  left one was tight as it was howling pretty good.  valves were right on. I've attached a photo (I hope) of them.  #one is on the right.  they all look lean to me but 3 and 6 are worse.  I plan on removing the carb bank, replacing vacuum  hoses,  installing new lows , adjusting the pilots 1/4 turn out,  is this going to be enough extra fuel to make a difference?       As well I am removing the rear wheel and inspecting splines and U-joint.

Your opinions please

the insulators on 1 3 and 5 are almost white,  you can notice the insulators on 2 4 and 6 have a bit of brown color  so it seems like the right bank is running a bit leaner. I will be installing new intake orings as well.   FYI the bike now has 28K on it
