I periodically read one of the "birther" websites. www.obamacrimes.com   I found it interesting that it's founder, Phil Berg is a Hilary supporting democrat. ( Philip J. Berg, Esquire, [Berg is a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania;)

I think most would believe that this is a right-wing agenda. Not so.

How many of you guys already know what a birther is?

I was birthed.  I have a card to attest my birthing, or is it a paper?  Yes, paper, and I don't carry it.

My spell checker, incidentally, doesn't recognize birther.  It doesn't recognize some contractions, either.  Maybe there's a connection, that is between a spell checker being snotty about birther and certain contractions.  Maybe it's a Braxton Hicks sort of thing.   Cheesy

Small things amuse me.  Small minds annoy me.  Big people with small minds scare me.  Little people with small minds make me laugh.  Little people with large minds and good hearts are a joy to many.

Anybody listening out there?

Spell checkers don't know everything.

This is what is so great about this message board. We can take an earth shattering subject matter, like birthers, and reduce it down to the size of Junior's mind. That's getting it down to my level! Grin

John was born on a military base from which I understand counts. Seems what I've read is Obama  has a ceritficate of live birth but not a birth certificate. Who knows what the difference is. Anyway, to go on a cruise ship going to the Haiti, I had to have a birth ceritficate. No problem, just wrote to wherever it was in GA and presto, got one. If he has one and he is years younger than I, I would assume Hawaii has one and to settle the question he could easily produce it. As Tom would say, "That's all I got to say about that."

Did PresBo travel aborad before becoming Pres?

Wouldn't he have had to have a passport?

Wouldn't he have had to have a birth certificate to get a passport?

Wouldn't the Republicans have already dug the dirt, turned over the leaves, left no stone unturned etrc etc during his campaign?

Wouldn't Hilary's crew have already dug the dirt, turned over the leaves, left no stone unturned etrc etc during his campaign?

Well, as I understand it, and I havent really dug into this, but .. here goes.  A certificate of live birth is not a legal document.  The Birth Certificate is.   BHOs relatives in Kenya have said that he was born there.  I think there was also a Kenyan birth certificate.  So, how could he have two.  Also dual citizenship is a no no and in 1980 when he went to Pakistan, I think I have heard something of an issue about that.  Evidently US travelers couldnt go there in 1980 under a US passport.  I think the accusation is that he went under an Indonesian passport which would have meant he held dual citizenship.

Its a blurry mess from what I can tell. Im definitely  NO friend of BHO.  I admit that.  However, I would like to trust that the law suits should sort it out...  but I dont...  because of course it would be a real crisis if they said he wasnt eligible to be pres.  Biden couldnt take over, because the entire ticket would be out.  Biden being picked by Obama and all.  I guess it would fall to... God forbid!!  ...  the speaker of the house.

Oh, and some of the suits were started by Clinton campaign supporters during the campaign.  So...  we wont ever get to the bottom of this...

Wrong. A "certificate of live birth" is a legal document. In fact, it is the legal term for a birth certificate in the state of Hawaii.  Wrong. No relatives have come forth to maintain Obama was born in Kenya. It's an urban myth. Wrong. Dual citizenship is not recognized by the US but it is by many countries. For example, many American Jews hold Israeli citizenship. (That's irrelevant, of course, since no one has been able to find any evidence that Obama is a citizen of any nation but the US.)  The claim regarding his trip to Pakistan is that he could not have used a US passport because Pakistan did not allow those carrying US passports to enter the country. Another lie. Pakistan has admitted travelers from the US since 1948 when the country was founded.

Happy to help out.

I didn't claim that the accusations were true.  I stated that I am largely uninformed on the matter, but I understood that there were several accusations.

However, since you seem to be so well informed, could you please point me to credible sources that refute those accusations?

Not to start some flame war or anything.  I really want to know.  Links to Hawaii Administrative Code as of BHOs date of birth as it pertains to the document of his birth certificate,  or  Certificate of Live Birth.  .. or even now..  etc.

Also, as I tried to find out about the certificate. A whole new issue came to my attention.  I saw accusations that the copy of the certificate posted on the obama site was tampered with digitally.  Well, I saved the pic and zoomed in on it.  Low and behold it does appear to be digitally played with.  Now, was someone at the campaign trying to clean it up digitally to be easier read by the folks on the web?  If so I could perhaps understand that.  However, they should note that they have.  Also, there is no official signature on it.  Ive never seen anything like that without one from somebody who has some kind of authority.   Im just sayin... kinda odd.

Ok, so that last accusation I brought up about the posted copy of the birth certificate I have found to be false.  After seeking several sources, I found that the state of Hawaii issued that in June of 07'  Still not the original "long form" birth certificate though that lists weight, parents, ... just a certification that the state has one on file.

Hey Britman!
Good questions that there are answers to....  Sort of.

Remember he did travel abroad during his College years, BUT where and when he traveled it was believed that he traveled on a Kenyan passport/ Visa.  I do not know all the INs and OUTs on this, but a very respectable friend laid this all out and backed up what he had with various reports all of reputable origin.

If he traveled on a US passport this of course would also make this whole thing mute.  But here lies the very thing that keeps the fire burning.  No one can produce the passports that he used while traveling to the East during his younger years.

I've said it before - I like to simplify things - sometimes overly so, It just seems to me that if he could produce the document  - WHY NOT?
He spends SO much time telling us that he can TALK and SHOW honor to our enemies and therefore gain their respect.  Why doesn't he CLEAN HOUSE, TALK and SHOW honor to the large populace of AMERICANS, his birth certificate.  He could then move forward cleanly and show the movement to be the hack so many WANT to believe it is, but can't seem to make it go away.  I know how to make it go away....  You do to!  Shocked

Well, all it takes is (a) a bit of googling and (b) a bit of common sense to understand that a conspiracy of this magnitude is simply absurd.

As far as the first is concerned, try the following.

If a bit of Googling does it then why not post something other than snopes?

Why doesnt he just release the long for birth certificate.  That pretty much ends the questions doesnt it?
