My Fellow Valkyrie Rider, Frank Marchese  Is In Need Of An Alternator For His Valkyrie Interstate. Does Anyone Here Have One That They Are Willing To Sell Reasonably ? If So, Please Let Me Know .
Thanks,

I have a used one that I have loaned out but I want to keep it in case we need it in the future.  Have you ever had one apart Bert?  Here's a link to Ratdog's article on replacing the brushes and cleanup.  Might not be the problem but I replaced the brushes in the Interstate a couple of years ago.  Not too big of a job.

I helped Keith turn the front cover on one of these and it worked fine.  You just take the three long bolts out that hold the case together and turn the front cover 1/3 turn or 120 degrees and put them back in.  Make it match the old one that you took off the bike.  It is obvious once you get the two side by side.  This one is about $100 less than the one for the Valkyrie.  Maybe try Ebay or Pinwall for a used one.

Thanks For The Information Terry, I Found A New One For $195.00 For A GL 1500 Goldwing, He Is Going To Check On It Tomorrow. I Knew That There Was Something That Had To Be Done To Make It Fit, (Turning It 120 Degrees). And  I Assume That After Removing The Capacitor , The Wires Hook Up The Same Way As A Valkyrie Alternator ?

Yes as RJ says.  The capacitor is for noise suppression for the radio on the Wing or the Interstate so it can be removed.  Other than that the wiring is the same.  The cover rotation is so that it mounts correctly.

If you have a CB on your bike, I would leave the capacitor/noise filter in place.  It will keep the engine whine out of your CB.  If no CB, you don't need it.
