Some of ya'll know already, but most don't:
Early Bird (Ray) became ill while in Colorado for Inzane.  He experienced several transient ischemic attacks, better known as mini-strokes.  From what Ray has told me, that sounds worse than it actually is, and he isn't feeling any long term effects.  They had him in a hospital till this morning, when he was released.  He's not going to ride home, so Phyllis went back with a truck and a trailer and is picking up Ray, his wife, and his bike.
I spoke to him around 5 PM today.  He was in high spirits, sounded like he was feeling fine, and grateful for good friends.

We're in Tucumcari for the night (Blue Swallow, of course!).  Taking it easy on the way home, don't want to tire my  passengers too much.  And enjoying the time spent with EB, and his wife.

For some reason, though, when I look into the rearview mirror, I keep seeing a Black I/S tailgating me ....

I called him the other day because of a deal we had and no answer so I call back a few days later and he answers and tells me the story. Sure had me worryed but he was laughing something about them kicking him out on the street straight from ICU  Shocked  I told him not to be flirting with the nurses  2funny   He should be home today from what he told me ..  Hope to see ya soon Ray!!!

I just spoke with Phyllis. She has EB and his wife.  They are stopping for the night in Waco, TX and will arrive back in the Houston area late tomorrow afternoon. He's feeling fine.

Today turned out to be a longer day than expected.  Instead of running home the usual route, we decided to run Highway 6 from Quanah to Waco.  I've wanted to see that part of it (I live off Hwy 6), and so did EB, so we did.  His poor wife got the worst of it.  Since she's not a rider, she doesn't appreciate roads like we do.  And it took longer .....

I promise that tomorrow we'll go the quickest way home.

Well, I truly am home.  Got to ride the bike to put on and off the trailer.  Going to basically stay off until I check with my regular Dr.  Can't get in to see him until Thursday morning.  In first eight hours I had 13 TIA's (transient ischemic attacks).  My Dr in Colorado said in 26 years he had never heard of anyone having more than three.  He was quite worried about me for the first day then I seemed to stabilize.  No pain involved.  No lasting effects.  Very hard to rationalize when you don't actually feel bad.  But, they have done MANY tests and can find no reason for them.  No blood clots, no apparent damage.  Brain, carotid arteries, heart, chest all seem excellent and functioning properly.

Glad to be back home and have the bike back in the garage, but now I just want a clean bill of health so I can get out and ride again.

T.P., I was working on this Minnesota gathering deal but I think this has put a damper on riding up (but still considering flying up and doing a visit like you and Nancy often do).  We shall see.

Thanks to all for assistance, prayers, and calls.

Special thanks to Lyn-Del for driving back up to Colorado with truck and trailer to pick up bike and wife and I.  Love ya, gal.  You are special.
