does the motorcycle industry seem to have stalled. I went to the honda dealer this morning and walked around looking at all the new bikes in the showroom. Our dealer is a multi-brand dealer so it just is not hondas. Then it hit me, there are no real new bikes. Just remakes from the last few years and new color choises. Yes there are 1 or 2 new models but they are follow-ons to a older bike. V-twins, sport tourers, sportbikes and scooters. Nothing groundbraking. Remember back in the 80's, every 2-3 years someone always came out with something new and bold. Has the motorcycle industry run its coarse? I know Honda is gearing up for production in japan next year so hopefully a new valk or something will be made to get excited about again.

Part of the problem is that all the manufacturers are building clones of the bikes of the 40's-60's because of the Harley nostalgia and Triumph ect. They are improved clones but clones none the less. We as a market have bought them while Valkyries sat in a warehouse for years. The majority of people today, if they were asked, would tell you they want a Harley even if they have never ridden a Harley or any other bike for that matter. As always, JMHO.

I think as far as styling goes Triumph is the leader, not just  cruisers but the whole range.
