Ok. So here is the deal. My uncle's 1999 valkyrie interstate 1500 is having issues. The carbs keep flooding and even putting gas into the oil. He has redone the carbs because he thought that was the issue but it isn't. After redoing those it still happens. He said it even flooded while running. Luckily it didn't hydrolock. Has anyone had this issue and if so what did you do too fix it?!

He still has carb problems at the minimum. May also have petcock problems...

Any specific idea on the carbs? He pretty much rebuilt them. I'll pass on the petcock idea to him though. Appreciate the help!

Not sure what you mean by 'flooding'. But, if it does it whether its running or not, it seems to me as though there is still one or more float valves hanging up.
I think I would try opening the drains one at a time and try to flush more fuel through them before taking it apart again.

I think I would investigate further if I have already rebuilt the carbs once.

I would remove the tank (pinch off the fuel to the petcock). Let the bike sit for a day for the fuel to leak, and then drain each float bowl, one at a time, and see which ones have fuel, and which don't.

The ones that don't will need to be rebuild/inspected.

If all have fuel, then I wonder if it could be the petcock that is leaking fuel into the bike.

I would be very careful about hydrolock, and if you don't know what it is, then read up on it, and understand the signs. Hit the starter switch for a short time each time you start the bike up, to listen for the dreaded Thunk of the hydrolock.

He took it apart again and think the petcock needs to be replaced. I'll have him double check the carbs again doing what you said. You guys know of a good petcock for cheap? Everything we find online is 80 and up. Already spent quiet a bit on everything for the carbs.

$30 or so for a "cover set", the honda part to rebuild your OEM petcock.
