I bought a new Dnplop frt. tire from Jake Wilson and it hops at 30 mph then levels off. I seem to remember were someone else had that same problem. It balanced out good got around 300 miles on it. Ill call them and see what they say and maybe get in touch with Dunlop rep. Any suggestions or have same prob. and solution.?

Only suggestion I have, is get that tire off your bike and have them get you another one before it comes apart on you.

My last 2 front tires have bounced like that around 30 mph. The first cupped real bad and this one im running now is a metz me 880 and seems to be wearing fine but also bounces at 30 mph.

I got a D404 front tire as a Christmas present in 2012.  Mounted and static balance by yours truly.  I also noticed a slight low speed bounce.  Checked and the tire is slightly out of round.  It was not significant enough for me to change the tire or complain.

You might try lifting the front tire just off the ground and spinning the wheel to see if thee are any high spots on the tire.  I did not use any sophisticated equipment, just a pencil (or something similar) clamped to a stationary object next to the tire.

Jare Wilson are good folk and they'll work with you to make it right. You might want to check the position of the tire on the rim (yellow dot is aligned with the Schrader valve) . Also use Dyna Beads to balance the tire.

If dunlop uses them , make sure the balance dot is lined up with the valve stem.

Insure the tire is mounted properly.

You can see, on the tire, a concentric raised feature (line)

that should be equidistant and concentric with the

edge of the wheel rim.

Raise the wheel off the ground and turn the wheel.

It will be revealed by inspection whether or not the wheel

is mounted properly.

I had problem with e3 at 40 mph. tried rebalancing 2 times. The tire is no good. I replaced it and problem is gone.
