Has anyone came up with a way to remove the chrome caps that cover the heads of the bolts for allowing you to adjust the handlebars WITHOUT buggering up the aluminum dog bone?
Trying to be real careful using a small screwdriver but no success. Keeps wanting to scar the soft alum. edges of the holes  Angry

Put a cloth down between your prying implement and the dog bone!

Use the blade of a knife. I raise it just enough with a knife blade to slide a small driver under to remove the cap.

cooldude  Got em off! Thanks you guys for the suggestions, the knife worked pretty good.
I was  digging too deep, thinking it was a much larger/deeper cap AROUND the head of a hex headed bolt,i was wrong,it has allen head bolts with the cap pressed into the head of the allen hole. Again
a big THANKS!  " Ride Safe"      Dan

I realize you have figured it out already BUT I have a long awl that had the tip bent when I lived in Illinois MANY moons ago.  Wink THAT slight bend is PERFECT for removing those little chrome plastic plugs you describe as they are also used on the fork axle clamp bolts. The longer I am on this board the more impressed I am with the help and the been there done that experience to help folks out so we can get out and RIDE.  cooldude cooldude cooldude cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Those little caps can be replaced.  You can get chrome or black I think. Different sizes too. Places like MACS Hardware etc have them...
