Took the phat gurl out to run errands; what a huge difference that Austone rear tire has made, she doesn't chase cracks in the road anymore and handles so much better at lower speeds.  Don't get me wrong she handled great before I had just come to accept the crack chasing an slight wobbles at lower speed as part of crossing over to the DARKSIDE. This tire has alleviated a lot of the DOOM and GLOOM topics that the nay sayers have to say about the DARKSiDERs. I didn't put a lot of miles on today but enough to know that this was a good tire choice. Thanks to all that made this change an easy choice.

Glad you like it Bill. That tar seems to be quite popular in Florida.

I Have The Austone On Two Of Our Three Valkyries And Love The Ride And The Price. I May Never Wear Them Both Out But We'll Just Have To See How Long They Last.

Austone Taxi Tire - CSR81 / 175/R16C 6PR - deleted the website listed on the tire, use your search engine to look up Austone Taxi tires, I bought mine from Universal Vintage Tire Co. based out of Hershey, PA.

Again, I don't have a lot of miles yet but I had many many conversations and more reading before pulling the trigger on this tire. I can honestly say that everything I heard and read is great information and I would recommend this tire and would buy another one if I could get it to fit on my daughter's bike.

cooldude Nothing like new rubber on the road! I have also been pleased with the Taxi tire, have run close to 20,000 miles and wearing very well so far. I run an EIII on the front; the combination seems to work well for me. I replace the fronts at about 13,000 to 14,000 miles needed or not. This bike isn't that hard on tires but, I'm not that hard on them and check the inflation just about every time I ride. Slight pressure differences can make quite a change with the Taxi tire.
