Undecided sorry if this is an old topic, but I'm a new Valkyrie owner, 99 tourer and after 200 miles I definitely need a seat upgrade.

I'm 6'3", 220 lbs, 34.5" inseam.  I need something that places me higher and further back.  I found myself trying to test out the passenger seat while cruising.
From what i've read both the Maverick and King ultimate fit this bill, which one is further back?  Comfort is important but fit is more important.   Does the custom Russell seats fit this requirement?
Any thoughts are much appreciated,

cheers,

ajay

When you go to the Ultimate website he explains how each seat works. Ultimate is also a site sponsor. I believe they are going to be at I-14 to sell seats. They usually let you test ride the seat before purchase. RIDE SAFE.

6'4", 43" inseem.  Ultimate King Boy and peg relocation kit make in-town riding bearable, still tight as I'm shifting and braking pigeon toed.  On the road the Seat is good for more than 13 hours, did that 6 times so far.  I also added apes so now it almost feels like my old Schwinn Stingray (Oss said the same thing)

I'm 6'2", 32" inseam, 250 on my non water retaining days.   Smiley

I've owned an Ultimate King,

Corbin Stinger solo,

original pre-2000 oem seat,

an oem after 2000 seat,

a Corbin four piece seat set,

Mustang seat w/o backrest

Mustang seat set w/backrest

I can tell you first hand that the Mustang's WILL sit you higher and WILL sit your further back than any seat that I've ever owned.....including the Ultimate King.

Just know that the Mustang is a firmer seat than an Ultimate and may or may not be for everyone.

While I'm not a tall person, I can say that if you want the seat to fit YOU, Russell is the way to go. I had them build a seat for my V-Strom and requested that the "bucket" be moved back 1". A Russell will probably sit you a bit higher too. The guy who was going to build my seat actually called me to ask a couple of questions. He was concerned that in building the seat for my weight and looking at the pics I had sent, that I would have a problem reaching the ground at a stop. I told him to just make it comfortable while riding and when I stopped I would figure it out. I just wish that I had gone the Russell Route years ago on the Valkyrie. For me it's the best one out there and it's made to fit each individual so no 2 are exactly alike.
