I registered 4 days ago and I am bound to my first INZANE.

Inzane registration     CHECK
Hotel reservation       CHECK
Time off from work     CHECK
Wife Ok with it  Grin     CHECK

Just got to do my rear end maintenance and should be about ready.

Checked the "WHO IS GOING" and it looks like 20 Florida Valkoholics will be heading up north.

26 days to take off    cooldude

Plans are to leave Saturday morning and making to Athens Ga.
The next day will be a nice easy SCENIC ROUTE day to Fletcher NC
Would like to do the BRIDAL VAILS water fall over by Franklin TN
I have missed it the last 2 years, either because of rain or other changes in plans, hopefully it will happen this time.

Better late than never!! Way to go!

Will be stopping in Warner Robbins, Ga. area on the way up. That about splits the ride in half.

I am envious, take a lot of pictures. A previous family trip is preventing me from going.  It sure sounds like a lot of fun not to mention the very close ride to ground zero, I'm sure Inzane will move back out west again for a couple years before it comes back to the east coast.

Well, I changed cardiologists as of today, had my first meeting with him. Really like him, actually will sit and listen and explain things, the main reason I changed. But, he wants to run some tests to determine if a pacemaker is really needed. I'm fairly certain that's going to be his final suggestion but I told him of my trip to InZane next month so he had everything scheduled to be done before I leave. He said if, and added "it's a big if" it turns out I need the pacemaker, he still feels I should be able to make the trip and do it when I get back. The tests will show that and here's hoping it all turns out good enough so I'm not taking a chance. If he really feels it's necessary I'll agree to the implant, considering the fact I'm lucky to be here anyway after my major coronary two years ago.

My dad had a pacemaker under the skin for many years (to control arrhythmia).  New ones, you can even run a 440 welder (so I'm told).  At first, any physical work about put him under.  They just took out the remote control and dialed him up.

Yes Jess, I know a number of people with them and have no trouble doing whatever they want. The only thing that makes the dr. hesitate about installing one is because I'm not symptomatic when I exercise. Hence the additional testing. Guess we'll see, right now my darn right hip is the big PITA....literally.

BCoy and Grumpy

We are just going to have to ask for another close by Inzane for next year so you guys can make the next one.
Or
We can just make a Florida Riders getaway to the mountains, like the one Jeff was trying to put together.
Hope I am not opening a can of worms, sorry Jeff  2funny

Even a better idea, have Larue get you a "Larue Special" from eBay.  2funny

Hope it all works out for you so you can make the trip, I know you are looking forward to reunite with a lot of your friends and they are as well.

I still like this idea myself.....and would plan it again in a second if everyone wanted to next year, this year..whenever. Admin be "darned". I still think a trip up there, with this group would be so much fun. We all seem to have a great time when we all get together. No worms opened here and no apologies needed Jack!!  cooldude

Got it Jeff

Thanks for the lesson  Grin

You are right about this group and I would love to do it next year or even later this year.

Not mentioning anything to the wife yet, I take it one trip at a time  2funny

About 6 years ago, I told her that I always wanted to make a motorcycle trip up to NC and TN.
She said go for it and I have been going back every year since then   Evil Grin
She said, I taught it was a ONE TIME trip  2funny

I will probably be open for that, right now just too tied down, have dcf coming by several times a week, plus running the girl to school and picking her up. During summer vacation I should be able to get away.

We usually go twice a year to the mountains, either NC or TN. With the wife not working any more due to her disability, we have paired it down to once a year now (maybe two..we shall see Roll Eyes) . Still the best riding I have ever done. We will keep a Florida trip on the back burner and wait and see what people want to do later. Yeah, one time is all it takes and you are hooked. That's why most of us go up that way as often as we can.

I'd have to talk to the boss, see if I can arrange an extra week off for something like this. I have plenty of vacation time saved up, just have to schedule it ahead of time.  Roll Eyes
