I have a sort of pictorial explanation of what took place.

Some make it look easy  ...  the first time.

Some can't make the first cut.

Actually, several didn't make the first cut.

It's harder than it looks,

and wetter.

Some had better luck.

Some had genuine skills.

Some had real talent.

The field was narrowed to a select few teams.

The requirements got stiffer and the good just kept getting gooder

and more gooder

until only the best remained.

In the final rounds competition was quite intense.

Long arms and determination persevered

but in the end soft hands and a steady throttle carried the day.

Here are the rest of my InZane IX memories.  http://www.far-riders.com/albums/thumbnails.php?album=133

There are a few blank spots.

Thanks Willow for showing me what I missed. Glad to see Ms. Lori got to ride her bike and not the cage. Miss being with ya'll. Looked like everyone had a great time. Hope to ride with everyone soon.

The fun and games are always just that fun and games.

Thanks for showing some of us what we missed by not being there.

Thanks Willow.... enjoyed the pics and annotations.  I did notice that the last pic the bar was "raised" a bit.....  Can I  assume this was done to narrow down the competition to the final winner?

That's right.  After the field had been narrowed at the "normal" height, the bar was raised all the way to the top.  They had to throw it farther UP, so it was harder to catch on the way down.  Good eyes.

According to the awards pics you are correct.  Thanks for catching that.  I'm obviously missing pics of the final elimination.  Both couples passed the balloon over the highest setting, I believe, more than once.

(I'll fix my sequence.)
