You can find them on eBay.

And.....yes.  Smoked lenses really darken the bulb.  Not something you'd normally want to do on motorcycle.

A buddy at work put smoked lenses on everything on his Fat Boy/Bob...whatever.....he thinks it's cool.  Riding behind him, you can barely see his tail and turns.

With smoked lenses, you will an LED array.
I have a smoked taillight lens and the arrays and I can be easily seen,...unless the driver behind me has his eyes closed.

I think I got  my clear lens at JC Whitney.  I use the Radiantz 128 led array behind the lens and it is very bright.

I had a clear lens on mine with led lights and didnt like it so I put the stock red one back on and I swear it is 10 times brighter than the clear. I have heard to run the same color light bulb as the lens for the best brightness. Maybe you should put a clear bulb in with a clear lens  Grin

Smoked (blacked out) lens are illegal in all 50 states. Fed DOT regulations set this standard for all USA.

I went with clear lenses and some Radiantz LEDs. Super bright. As for the lenses, got them off Ebay long time back.
