1.   putz
noun: putz; plural noun: putzes
a stupid or worthless person.

Well, I was all ready to desmog my bike, I had the tank off and the air box out. I purchase the parts I needed to plug the holes and downloaded all the instructions.  The bike has been sitting on the lift for two-weeks and I was really missing being able to ride her around the block, but I knew that it would be all worth it.

The day finally came when I looked down the muzzle of the breast at all those tubes and parts.   And said, "I will f@ck this up for sure!"  So I put the box back in making sure to connect all the tubes back on and hoped that she would forgive me and start when I turned the key.

She started up ok, but surges some when I give her full throttle.  I am now looking for a mechanic that can desmog the bike and install the electronic fuel shut-off I bought. The carbs probably need adjusting and balancing too.

I don’t know if my local Honda shop can or will do the job, since they don’t even fix GL1500 Goldwing anymore.  I think that if I live in south Florida I could find a person with knowledge and skills, but up in the big bend area I don’t see a lot of Valkyries and so don’t expect to find anybody with the abilities.

But, if anybody, knows somebody, who’s anybody who has the skills to remove the smog stuff and connect the fuel valve, please let me know.

Thanks, your friend,

Wow....that's something ya' just don't see every day!

Have also heard the saying: "She had a pair of 45's......and a gun!"

Anyway....think BF may be your best bet up in your neck of the woods. He may know of someone.

It Is Really Not That Hard To Do, Just Time Consuming. I Know How And Have Done A Few . I Live In The Ocala Nat'l Forest But I Will Not Be Available Until After Inzane Or June 15th. I Could Tell You How To Do It If You Have Any Mechanical Skills At All. I'll Send You A PM With My Number.
