Craftsman's aluminum jack is stiff and works well. If money is no object, Pitbull and J&S Jacks make the best jacks.

What he said!! Nary a problem when I work on her on the lift. With the home built wood adapter putting her-actually putting the lift and adapter under her is a one person job. Ease her down into one of the lock positions and yer good to go for as long as you need. RIDE SAFE.

Just a guess, and from reading several years worth of posts, I'd hazzard a guess that the two most bought and used lifts by Valk owners are the Craftsman red and black lift and the HF lift.

I have the Craftsman red and black lift.  It works well for me.  You can usually find it on sale for around 80 to 90 bucks or so.

You'll need a lift adapter to use a lift/jack.  There's basically three choices.  The permanent bolt on adapter that stays on the bike, the temporary spoonlander style lift that you take off the bike when done...and a built-it-yourself wooden adapter.

I'm using one of the old Larin lifts. It's at least ten years old and still works great.

I bought the grey HF 1500lb lift (pittsburg I think it is) works great for me and my Mistress.  Also use the wooden adapter.  Very stable when strapped and safety stop bar is used.
FWIW HF has an aluminum jack that was much lighter for a little more $$$
