Just purchased from another member here. Initially loved how soft and comfy it was but within a few minutes I began to experience the often referenced "cruishing of the boys" from the high front on the seat. Not crushing exactly but more of a raw irritation that I still feel after an hour off the bike. Regardless of how I tried to move around or how I adjusted the back rest the sensation remained. My impulse is to go back to my Mustang seat but wondered if this is something that I might adapt to in a reasonable amount of time. Anyone experience this or is it a case of "uncomfortable at first uncomfortable forever" Thanks

My understanding is that the three different varieties , low boy, big boy and king big boy are designed for certain weight and height . I've heard of some that complained of your issue but some of this has been related to the wrong model selection for the above reasons. I bought a complete 4 piece Ultimate King Big Boy set from a fellow VRCC member. It was brand new, but the width of the King wouldn't work with the bags he'd bought due to the lid's direction of opening. I've never experienced the issue you are having. The King has been perfect for me. My posterior or junk always in good shape. I regularly put in long days in the saddle.

One reason I prefer the Russell. Flat in front. Not nose high.
It is so hard to say which is better for each person. Everyone's anatomy is different, and "seats" fit different seats differently! LOL
What I love, may be pure pain for you.

I have the lowboy and bigboy seats. My boys of average size rarely have a problem, but I have had a few twinges on rare occasion. There are boxer guys and tighty whitey guys. I have both, but find that more support works better with raised nose seats. The best support comes from items like the Underarmor boxer jock (but I've found that stretchy microfiber is too hot in hot weather).

Sorry Pancho, the pictures in my head aren't funny. Just disgusting! LOL Yes it is a weird discussion but a valid one. I ride Ultimates on both my Interstates. One the "Bigboy" and one the "King Bigboy" and I definitely prefer the King. Even to the point of swapping them for what will be long trips. I'm told the reason for that huge lump we find so irritating is to keep you from sliding up onto the tank in an abrupt emergency stop. The king allows me more room to adjust.

I had the Big Boy Ultimate seat for my tourer and loved it. When I got an Interstate tank and got the Big Boy for Interstate, did not like the hump in front. Sold it, got the King Boy. Perfect! I am 6' 2" and 215lbs.

+1 Farther and Jess. Under armour great for the comfort and helps with keeping swamp ass and chafing to a minimum.

Hi all, I am new to this whole thing. I've had my interstate for about 10 days now and i love it with the exception of the corbin seat. It's not the seat per say,i have really screwed up hips that are due for rebuilds but that isn't gonna happen for a few more years. the guy i bought the bike from said it sat about 1 inch lower than stock seat,so that ultimate king bigboy intrigues me with being up 1inch over stock and back 2 inches. sounds great for my condition. anybody in the same boat i am? i stand 6'2" 280 lbs. thanks

I'm 61 and about the same height as you and just alittle lighter around 260lbs.I've ran a bigboy for well over 130K on my interstate and have no problem riding all day long. I could have gotta the king and be alittle better for me but I run a solo seat (supervalk mod) sometimes and the bigboy takes the backrest and the king bigboy the backrest bolts to the rear seat and I didn't want to lose my backrest to go solo.

After taking another ride with my wife, she did not like the fit of the passenger seat. Raised rear of seat kept bothering her and she couldn't shift around to get away from it. So, I understand the KBB doesn't have the raised, or raised as much, portion of the rider seat in front? Is the passenger seat the same as the regular BB? May be putting this on classified and go back to the mustang

Loved my big boy seat the first year, the second year the foam broke down, not very happy with it anymore.

If it only lasted a year I think I would be calling Ultimate seats to see what's up.

I may ride out to Sturgis next year to purchase an Ultimate seat, and have the chance to ride and return it if it doesn't work. A good excuse to see Mt Rushmore. My problem is I'm right in the middle for sizing. 5' 11" and 210 #, 32" inseam. Will need to check with them to recommend a seat.
I know their website says to give the seat 100 miles before returning it.
In the mean time, I just bought a used Saddleman Gel seat, but don't feel comfortable on it either. I think it is when/how I sit. Like mentioned, the boys get bunched up sometimes and too constricted.

Might want to try different pants. I had the same nut cracker problem with my big boy seat. After wearing different pants, I noticed this issue only existed when I wore my jeans. With my Sliders pants on, the problem goes away 100%, very comfy now. http://www.compacc.com/p/sliders-kevlar-khaki-4-0-riding-pants

My Bigboy may have been a first year production model (came on the bike). I knew it was old, but the foam was long past firm and the base plate was broken and nose tab held on with duct tape (for years and years). It still looked very nice, but I was using my Airhawk on it most of the time. At Inzane, I rode over to show it to Dez of Ultimate Seats. He said it could not be repaired because it had the square post driver's backrest design, long out of production. Sitting on a new demonstrator I knew what a good seat was supposed to be, but holy checkbook the things are pricey. So Kendall from AZ was watching the discussion and asked to sit on it, did so, and made me a fair offer for it on the spot (cheap was more than fair; I would not have ever listed it for sale). I tried to talk him out of it, and showed him the various defects, but he said it was better than what he had for the ride home, so we made a deal. That little bit of money toward a new one made the decision for me, and Dez diddled with my mounting points and snapped on a new one, and I handed him my credit card. Nearly doubled my Inzane costs, but the ride home was much better than the ride down. Sits a bit higher than I am used to but...... no worries mate. My ass was a happy camper (and the Airhawk stayed in the saddlebag). Thanks Kendall. You really do meet the nicest people on a Honda.
