"Officers Crash Near Rossmeyer Funeral
6 Motorcyle Officers Crash On Way To Funeral
POSTED: Tuesday, August 4, 2009
UPDATED: 1:46 pm EDT August 4, 2009
Bruce Rossmeyer.
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- Six motorcycle officers from various agencies were involved in a crash while escorting Bruce Rossmeyer's family to his funeral.
One officer crashed into the back of another, causing the chain-reaction crash, the Ormond Beach Police Department said. The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. on Halifax Avenue in Ormond Beach.
Rossmeyer, a motorcycle legend, died in a motorcycle crash last week. He owned several Harley-Davidson dealerships, including the dealership in Daytona Beach.
None of the officers involved in Tuesday's crash were injured. They picked themselves up and continued to the funeral.
Funeral services were held for Rossmeyer at the Christ Presbyterian Church in Ormond Beach at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
More than 1,000 people attended the funeral."
I'll bet "one officer" got an ass kickin from the two, three, four, five and six officers!
