I see that there are a lot us reriders out here. I quit riding i 83 and started back up in 06, with the badgering of my present wife. You know (" you used to do all that fun stuff with your last wife")  I was into boats and hot rods. built a 39 chev coupe frame up. Wife wasn't into it. She said she wanted to ride m/c. I thought it was just a wim. Bought and old 82 wing and she loved to ride and it brought back my passion also. Put 10,000 mile on it in a year. Knew it was time to step up to class, my black 99 interstate is it .Already put 9,000 on it. Son inlaw saw mine and put his Yamaha up for sale, bought a 01 black and tan interstate. My son bought a 00 black interstate. So in a short period of time It's a Valkyrie  family affair. It's great when we all go riding together, lots of looks. I'm an old Honda mechanic so I maintain the livery.

A "rerider".  I suppose that fits me too.  I like that term.  I went from a '75 Yamaha XS650 last rode in '80 to a '97 Red & White Valk in 2008.  Hadn't riden in about 28 years and jumped in with both feet.  Sink or swim baby.  Yep, I'm a re-rider fo sho.   cooldude

Thanks TP. I rode out of Minnesota in 1979 on a 75 wing. I worked for Rapid Sports center on Coon Rapids, got the first wing that came in the door. Used to like the Mankato Club hill climes. Some crazy times. Some great river road riding there( Lake Peppin) My favorite ride is the north shore up into Canada. The mountains drew me here to Washington. I needed to get higher.
