Cruise Control Comparison

I bought my wife a new 2013 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. I am in the process of installing a few accessories. My question is does the Brakeaway 179.00 cruise control operate better than the old Universal Vista cruise control for about twenty bucks? I know the brakeaway has a quick brake release and all, but does it hold the throttle better, less trouble with slipping and so on? My Valk has the Vista and a Murphs CCS 100 cruise. The CCS 100 cruise control and my center stand are the two best things I ever installed. Appreciate any advise, Thanks.

I've had the twenty dollar throttle lock. You get what you pay for.
I now have the BrakeAway.
To answer your questions......yes, yes, yes and yes.

I've never been a fan of a throttle lock. In an emergency the last thing on your mind is releasing the lock. I have the parts and started a Rostra Cruise control install and had a local fella advertise a brake away and a reasonable price so I bought it and love the fact that hitting the front brakes releases it.
The biggest deal is the adjustments, get it right and you'll love it.

+1 on the Brake Away. it did take a while to get it adjusted properly with right tension on grip and for release with front brake activation. but, once installed and adjusted, I haven't had to readjust.
