Invitation to join us for a Rally in Denton, Texas.

Fellow VRCC members,

I am a member of the DFW VRCC and I am also an officer of the Denton County Southern Cruisers.  I would like to invite you all to attend our 5th Annual Texas State Reunion in Denton, Texas.  As you may or may not know, the Southern Cruisers Riding Club is a family oriented riding club.

Our event is taking place October 9th-11th, 2009.  The location is the North Texas Fair Grounds in Denton, Texas.  I know that the economy is bad but hey we still need to take a break and enjoy life.  We wanted to keep the cost, $25 a person, down because of the economy but we did not skimp on our planning.  The cost will include entrance to the event, a planned ride, a TSR patch or pin, bike night, stunt show, Saturday night dinner, music, games, auctions, and more.

We have a registration website setup so check it out.  If you plan to attend, I want to let you know that we have some Reunion shirts only available online before August 9th.  After August 9th, women style, adult long sleeves, and adult short sleeves in dark gray and white will no longer be available.  All these shirts are currently available online in black, light gray, dark gray, and white so hurry up and take advantage of this.

Visit our registration website and see who is attending by clicking on the “Roster” button under the “QUICK INFO” sign.  Currently, we have over 100 riders from North Carolina, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas pre-registered.

Sounds like fun and a good celebration after a big Rid for Kids event the Sunday before this.  I wonder if VRCC or SCRC could take one of the top club spots again? Didn't see the agenda yet, but I haven't been to anything Baron said was good that wasn't fun!

We are currently working on the event schedule.  We plan to do a bike night at someplace like Hooters on Friday Night.  We are in the process of getting as many free wing certificates as we can so noone will need to pay for wings, just their drinks and appitizers.  On Saturday, we will do a group ride to Welcome Home the Troops followed by a ride to the Strokers Anniversary party.  Saturday afternoon, we will have a sportbike stunt show, bikes games, Texas Holdem, and a group picture at the reunion site.  Saturday night, we will have a dinner together and I am trying to line up a singer to entertain us during dinner.  After dinner is a DJ and maybe live music.  We will also have either a live or silent auction taking place.

As for the RFK, I will definitly get involved and I will try hard to get others to join us.

I hope we get a lot of Valkyries at this event. 

As you may have noticed, some of the event shirts in various styles and colors are no longer available because the deadline was August 9th and they had to be ordered online.  If you are still interested in any that are no longer available let me know and I will see what I can do.
