Got his contact info from Sherrie few minutes ago and I Just spoke to Him at the hospital, he's in great spirit, he said he was coming down a mountain after a cuople twisties he realised his back brakes went out on him , so he was using front ones, at the foot of the mountain and on a straight road he saw his friend rob slowing down so he did at 20 mph, there was a 1'' rock that hit the front tire while he was braking and locked up the front brakes causing him to skid right before the main road getting to turn to his cabin, cross his arm against his chest and rolled, he was wearing a helmet, skint up his elbows a bit but the pavement caught his foot and twisted his leg breaking his ankle and ahis long about 8 inches from the ankle, they discussed putting plates and stuff but monday he'll find out what they will do as far as surgery. I asked him if its ok to post his room info for those who wanna check on him, here is the phone number of the hospital in ashville 828 213 1111 room A626 he was visited by Sixflow and his wife as well as james III.. No major damage to the bumblebee, right engine crash bar, few scratches on right saddlebag and broke the fairing in half, other than that its fine. You will be in our thoughts and prayer brother Bert.

Thanks Larue, I too have been thinking about him throughout the day. Glad to hear he is in good spirits and that the Bumble Bee didn't lose it's Stinger. As always it could've been much worse, glad he was close to his camp an had good people around him to help in this time of need. Keep us posted, ready for a wrench party on his return if necessary.

I just got off the phone with him and had remarkably positive spirit. He has getting the bike home all covered. He may be there several weeks and said he welcomes calls/prayers. Thanks for posting Larue.

Thanks Brother for the update. Wish it had been the other way around and the bike was totaled and he walked away. I'm going to try and call him tonight. God Bless him!

I just talked to him also, kind of a freaky accident. At least it was slow speed or could have been worse. We are praying for a speedy recovery.

I called him too. He did sound in good spirits considering what he has been through. He said that he had his truck and trailer so there shouldn't be a problem getting the bike home. He might have to hang around for a little while though.

Just chatted with Bert as well. He is doing good, and in good hands. Sounds like he has a good handle on things. One thing he said that stands out "If my leg wasn't broken I'd be riding today." Can't keep a good man away from his bike.
