Todd & Pennie Harris

Clyde, NC (formerly of Lakeland, FL)

« on: June 12, 2014, 07:14:59 PM »

Hi all. The day started out pleasantly cool and slightly cloudy, but if you rode after Noon, most likely a rain suit was involved. But that didn't stop the day's festivities.

We (Todd, Pennie, Bob, Michele) started our ride day from GZ by heading to the local Honda dealership to claim a free can of bike wash and a hot dog, then rode to an Amish bakery to claim some sweets that weren't free but were very tasty (Doug, the photo in front of old building is for you):

Meanwhile, back at GZ the men were mesmerized by a seminar featuring a Phat Lady's Rear End:

And then there was a bike show going on (extra pics of cool features included):

Yes, those are bullets on that bracket thingy on the back:

And those are Hot and Cold faucet handles:

We did not attend the banquet due to the late hour and the weather, but we heard later that our very own John Schmidt won the Wild Custom category! Way to go, John!

This bike trailer was not in the show but knew you'd enjoy seeing it. It was actually a cooler that had a working bilge pump that emptied the melted ice.

Everyone will be on their various ways tomorrow, so safe travels to all. Can't wait to have another meetup in FL so we can share our stories with you.

The blue Interstate and trailer was originally a Florida bike. Our old friend "Charlie the Sculptor" good to see the new owner keeping it as clean as Charlie did.

Larue

Thanks for your vote of confidence  cooldude
I did not think about it until I got to GZ and Pennie told me I should enter it.
I got there a little late from a ride and bike was dirty from getting caught in a light rain.
I had to wait for it to cool down before washing it.
I got to tell you bro that there were some killer bikes entered.
