How many Watts does the 2014 Valkyrie have availble?
I was looking at adding a plug for a heated vest and maybe some driving lights.
I was wondering if someone knows if its the same as the goldwing ?
Would make sense to reduce cost as the wing has like a car Alternator in it . cooldude

With our LEDs that would leave a lot of over kill for electric power on the Valkyrie.

Anyone anyone ?

You got PLENTY of wattage... no worries.

Don't know the exact wattage, but it's way more than you'll use up with a set of lights and heated vest.

Hell... throw on a heated seat and grips while you're at it... you'll still have wattage to spare.

Yeah I know the wing and hear the F6B have the 1100 watt or something like that so have 500 watts left.
If we got the same watts and running leds Im thinking grips and vest but never had heated seat and dont want to mess with it just yet ?

OK... this took a bit of inventive Googling, but I think I got an answer for you...

According to Honda Direct Line parts micro-fiche, the alternator / generator assembly part numbers:

Valkyrie GL1800C - 31100-MCA-S41
Goldwing GL1800 - 31100-MCA-S41

If their Micro-Fiche is correct, you should have the same 1000 watts at 2400 rpm as the Wing.

Sweet I never thought of trying to look up the part number or even where to look for the new Valkyrie.
I had a wing and it has way more than enough watts to run a fridge LOL

I found this on the Rider Magazine website. It says 1,300 watts charging power in the electrical specs section:

FYI, I found this on the VTX1800 info from Cruiser Magazine. It says the VTX1800 has 280 charging output. Good info as a comparison on how much is available on the Valkyrie. Look at the electrical specs near the end.

The charging system is the same as the WING.

Fire a way !  Full heated clothing, LED fogs, yada, yada.

My concern is ... where do you plug this stuff in ???
