I looked at some reviews of this place and they are Not ALL.... Good.
We can take this adventure, or choose another?

If we go there? We could possibly meet some people on 674, 62 or 64. Then work our way up from there.
Anyone know a good place for meeting out there (somewhere, beneath the pale moon light) (sorry went away for a second).

Do we know how to get anywhere without stopping in Brooksville First?  Grin

Also we must pick a day. So far I think we have 1 for Sat, and 1 for Sun. I prefer Sunday, but don't really care.... Let's Ride Damn it.

Thoughts?

Jaymi

Well personally, I am taking Knights Griffin from Seffner to 33, south to 92- 92 to 544  544 to Buckeye loop rd, left on Dundee rd, Dundee to S alt 27 left on almburd, that turns in to canal rd.  58 miles from my house in Seffner. I also figured the route using SR 60 to Bartow and north from there, same mileage.
And Sat is the only day for me, obligations on Sunday, still raising my great granddaughter.

If no one is coming from points south. Then we don't need a meeting place I suppose.   Embarrassed crazy2
I guess we'll wait and see who else chimes in.

I'm going to soak my head now.

I should be good for Saturday , planning on riding out with Grumpy
I will return the Southern route to avoid "malfunction junction".
I will know Wednesday afternoon if my work schedule will allow it this Saturday.
Head still soaking Grin

Guys

My friends and I rode up there from Stuart this winter for lunch one day.

We had a good time, a nice waitress, and excellent fish sandwiches. The setting is "Old Florida" on the water. It was crowded, even on a weekday, so I would say the earlier you got there the better.

Have a good time!

I might get a good sandwich...Let's hope I don't have to wait for them to catch it.  tickedoff

Thanks for the insight Bill. Was a little concerned that I may be held responsible for people having to pull over to remove there lunch on the way home.  Grin

So I guess Saturday it is.... Sorry Larue.

Bill, would you like some company on your Skyway route? I can meet you in St. Pete somewhere.

Sure Jaymi.   cooldude  We can meet up at the Race Track at the 54th ave no. exit. Turn right
and it's right there. Say 7:30-8:00. If you have a SunPass we can breeze right through the
Skyway toll. If not, no big deal. Looks like going through the Skyway to 75 north to Parish-301
to Wimauma up Balm Rd to 640 to 555 to 60 to 17 and right on Eagle Lake Rd over to the end
and left on Tim Lane Rd. to Canal. If you have a better way let me know.   uglystupid2

I was there a long time ago with the Gold Wing bunch. I liked the food, but with my discriminating taste if it isn't moving, I'll eat it.  Cheesy I have no idea if it's changed but looks pretty much the same in the pics. Sorry to say I won't be making the ride, I'm still hobbling around with a cane and living off pain meds interspersed with ice packs. Kinda sucks right now 'cuz I can't ride either bike, golf, very limited gym activity. About the only thing the right leg is good for at the moment is to keep me from tipping over.  Grin

Enjoy the ride.....and behave. hmmm....yeah, right!!!  cooldude

Checked them out online and it seems as though all the food is not what it says to be? Grouper is Grooper from Asia? Crab is fake as well? Maybe the Burger is real who knows...lol, the ride will be fun and the food an adventure !! I may eat at the Gas Station before we leave...lol  2funny

WARNING:  Only read if you want restaurant review.

Not sure yet if we can make the ride Sat. but can provide a venue review so you know what to expect.. We've been taking the touristing relatives to Cherry Pocket for over 10 years. Back in the day, they were exceptional. Real FL grouper in the fish sandwiches, a fresh alligator carcass on the back counter when we walked in (no kidding, we thought it was pork ribs), airboats at the dock, and bras hanging from the ceiling. Okay, leave it to me to bring it down a notch, but honestly ... there was real lingerie hanging from the ceiling. The northern tourists loved it!! Then some hipster from the Tampa or St. Pete newspaper did a restaurant review and then downhill ... huge crowds and beepers! Beepers at this place? The old-Florida food quality suffered cause of the crowds and alas, the bras were banned by the health dept. when they started to disintegrate. We were told they switched to fake "grooper" because of the fishing bans in FL at the time and it appears they never switched back. The burgers and pasta are good, and portions are large.  Long story short ... go for the atmosphere, not so much the food. It's in the middle of a trailer park, on a lake. What more could we ask for? Definitely a fun place for a bike meetup. Will make for good conversation and photo ops. With any luck BillyBoy will wear his daisy dukes and jump in an airboat to pose for us. Hopefully we'll see you there.

If we leave here at 9:30, should be there about 10:15. If you want, there is a 7-11 gas station on the corner of Knights Griffin and 98, we could meet there. It is on the south east corner of the intersection. Let me know if you will be there, and I will plan on stopping.
