Me and Stanley met up for breakfast near my house on Saturday before inzane... then off towards
the BRP... right after you leave SC you get to this little store on 64... I've stopped there with T-Bird...
I stopped there with all of Britman's Memorial Day ride one day and he let me lead them up
281 before many people were riding on it (it used to be part dirt)... I told them, before we left
the parking lot, "It's not a race!"...

Me and Stanley went on to pre-ride 281 and Tilley Creek and some other roads
back in there so we'd know what to expect if we went there with some InZaners...

That night we showed up at T-Bird and whats-his-name's meetup at the
motel in Asheville...

We stood around all night while Punisher sat on my bike making Vroom Vroom sounds...

The next day me and Stanley sat around eating breakfast at Cracker Barrel too
long to make it on the ride with everyone from the motel... we rode on the BRP
to Ground Zero, and I met up with Hay Hauler, TJ, Mitch, Trout Dude and Dave...
we rode a big loop out towards Lake Lure and up towards Old Fort and up
Hwy. 80 to the BRP, and back to Ground Zero... all the way to Lake Lure
the other lane was filled up (for miles) with hot rods and classic cars...

Monday a bunch of us headed out towards the roads that Stanley and I pre-rode.
We used the BRP to start... this tunnel picture came out real good with the
sun shining way deep into it... all the good BRP tunnels are near Ground Zero...

After a while we got to 281... some of us have been talking about this road... I was
leading, Punisher and T-Bird jumped in behind me and we lit off going
as fast
as
I ever go...

Here's three consecutive pictures (five seconds between shots)... 281 goes on like this
for miles it seems...

Once we came out on 107 we headed to Silva NC for Ryans...

Some folks went back to Ground Zero after lunch to make sure they made it
back in time for DDTs bike reunion. Good thing, too... the rest of us finished the ride and
got back after the presentation was over...
We took an easy ride North on the BRP the next day for lunch at Little Switzerland... we
stopped at Mount Mitchel and several overlooks... one of the guys turned back for
Ground Zero at the first overlook with a u-joint like sound... Check out the mods
to his bike (what ever happened?):

On Wednesday I participated in The Lost Lunch ride. We headed off towards
a park with police escort and all the intersections held open for us. As we
got further away the police escort thinned out. After a while we were just
85 motorcycles riding around lost in the country side

... we finally made it
to lunch, lasagna catered by a local Italian restaurant... it was real good

Carolyn Showed up Wednesday afternoon, and we gathered at a table during the
pie auction where we pooled our resources and ended up with a strawberry rhubarb
pie and ice-cream.
Carolyn had googled up some waterfalls, so Thursday a group gathered and we
went to "Skinny Dip Falls" nearby on the BRP. We had to abandon the Valkyries
and hike off into the woods...

Home Friday, only to turn right around and go to a wedding in Raleigh on Saturday...
Thanks everyone for a great time!
