You asked for it.
Will show you the droolers first for those who weren't able to make the trip.
Every road we chose was fantastic. From the BRP to the Rattler, Dragon, Devil's Whip and all the rest we rode.
Once up in altitude the temp drop was fantastic, almost to the point extra clothes were needed to keep warm! Lesa often put on an extra layer to keep from shivering!

Billy took us on a ride up the BRP to Mt. Mitchell. The scenery was outstanding and weather cool and crispy with a great breeze.

We walked up to the look out tower up at the top
With a zoom lens I shot this back through the trees. There were tons of motorcycles and bicycles (ask Billy how much he loves the cyclists......)

Billy AKA "Captain Morgan" is sooooo shy around cameras!

Somebody mentioned showing you my new seat. By the time I got up to Ashville you could have spelled it ASSville according to my butt. The Saddleman seat wasn't doing it for me and my cheeks were hitting the seat pan on a regular basis. So.....Ultimate seats to the rescue! They had this set there and the colors match my bike colors almost perfectly. With a lot of help from my "Buds" in saying "You HAVE to have that seat" I gave in. Rode that seat for 9 hours that day and that sealed the deal.
Funny thing was the day AFTER actually buying the seat......I won a 25% off coupon for Ultimate seats.....go figure!

Gotta' have some gratuitous valk porn....Our bikes at one of the scenic outlooks.

More scenery.....was incredible that day!

More photos to follow!

Great pics Pappy.  Sure a lot of beautiful scenery around that area and the best roads to ride anywhere.

These are terrific!  So thanks for posting as it helps us re-live our mountain moments.  Beautiful seat. And that BillyBoy ... not shy at all.

Update!!!
I called Ultimate seats this morning. Lesa said give it a try. Talked to Des' wife I think.
Anyway, she remembered me although I don't think I did anything noteworthy for once.......
She pulled up my account, the seat, the amount, and promptly gave me a 25% return on my credit card on the seat even though they could have easily said it would only apply to a future purchase.
That, folks, is what customer service is all about. First class in my book !!

Absolutely wonderful pictures!! I never get tired of looking at that scenery. Thumbs up on the seat discount. I'm saving up for one as we speak. Thanks for sharing Pappy.
