Dyna-beads

   Hello, time for some new tires, thinking Avon or Metzler (Have E-3's now) and would like to try dyna-beads, does anybody know of a source near the H.E.B. area?

I ordered mine from http://www.bestrestproducts.com/c-100-dynabeads.aspx - home of the CyclePump.  The dealer search at Innovative Balancing, the manufacturer of Dyna Beads, lists 4 retailers within 50 miles of 75035 (Frisco).

Please Note: The recommended quantities at BestRest for front and rear did not apply to my Avon Venom front / Avon Cobra rear.  Avon does not identify the heavy spot with a dot and the shop that installed the tires had to use more lead on the wheels than the chart suggests.  I have 2 oz in front and 3 oz in back. 

Despite what the skeptics on the national tech board (who all appear to have never tried them  ???) have to say about how/whether they work, the Rumblebee rides as smooth as glass.  6,000 miles and counting. 

I don't have experience with Metzlers, but I have 13,300 miles on my Avon Venor R front and it looks like new.  I lost my Venom rear to an irreparable flat at 5,200.  The Cobra has 8,100 on it.  It shows some wear, but no cupping.  I hope that by riding like an old man I'll get 12-15,000 miles out of it.

   Thanks Dave, I decided on the Avon Cobras, just a "gut" feeling really. You never know if you made the right choice until your 1000 miles down the road. The only problem, if you want to call it that, that I had with the Dunlops, was that they were cupping a little.  Sometimes they would sound kinda funney during a hard corner. I mostly changed them because they were getting a little dated, someone once told me to change out tires that are five years or older. These came on the bike as I purchased used with 54000, I have 61000 now. Also a comment, Honda recommends 36psi rear, but everybody says 41psi. I thought my scooter rode a little rough at that pressure. What has been your experience so far, with the Avons.
    I will try your source for the Dyna-beads.
