Are interchangeable, correct?...(from a IS to a standard).. Won't ones from an Interstate work on a standard? Checking the parts fiche they are way different in $$. Standard ones being a lot more... My standard ones work fine but the finish on the exterior is bad. Some IS parts bikes are available and just wondering. Thanks

Can't tell you for sure if they are interchangeable. I own both (98 Std and a 2000 I/S) and they look the same to me¿  crazy2  Another option is to polish those reservoirs. I did that on my 98 because I was facing the same situation you are. Take care not to  scratch the plastic reservoir window.

I know right,, they look identical,, why the big diff at HDL....Hmmm. ???

My windows are pretty nasty already also.,, Ive rebuilt the carbs, brakes , insides are spick and span, , outside, not so much Grin Grin

This is the rescue scooter,  running like a pissed off hornets nest, and stops on a dime on a silver dollar, just these little details now!!

This isn't only part probably that Honda has that is the same physically with a different part number and price.  Look at the drive shaft for a 97 verses other years, nearly identical way different price. Also you might want to look at Partzilla.com,  they can be less expensive. FWIW

I don't know if they are identical or not but I am running IS calipers and master cylinder on my standard.
