I have a 97 Tourer and the only emblems are the tank emblems. I've seen things on the side cover as well as "tourer" on the saddle bags in photos. What was original? I like the "tourer" emblem on the bags. Where can you get them? Thanks in advance, Dave

my 97 Tourer did NOT have the "Tourer" on the chrome on the windshield bracket. they started putting that on sometime like 98 or 99 i think? Anyway, it IS a part you can order...and it is called "windshield garnish". costs like 35-40 bucks if i remember right (and IF you can still get it from Honda???).  i added it to my 97 Tourer windshield bracket. it came on Sherry's 98 tourer windshield.

My side covers....on both Valks...have the Valkryie emblem that was made to put on the back of the sissy bar pad/chrome. HDL probably still sells that? again...i think in the 30-35 dollar range? i put those emblems on my 97 Tourer side covers in the FALL OF 97. I dare say i was the FIRST to come up with that idea. The side cover looked blank to me...needed something. So i came up with that idea. i like the look of them with that emblem on. apparently, some others do too...as i've seen a few others add em'. A WORD OF WARNING. the side cover ....is curved on that surface. The only place you can put that emblem on and both look good and FIT....due to that curvature...is the the right/top quadrant of the cover. otherwise, they won't fit flush. It uses that 3M gray adhesive...so...you have to line them up carefully! i measure mine....put a piece of tape level accross the bottom measurement....another piece of tape at a measurement towards the front (measured from the back of the cover)....make sure the measurement is the same on both sides...then CAREFULLY....line it up...place the emblem...then press! of course, since they are on opposite sides, if you were just a little off on your measurements...nobody is gonna' know.....

can't help you with saddlebag Tourer emblems. never dealt with them. But i'm SURE....they are a part that can/could be ordered............

and here is the emblem i've been putting on the side covers...since Fall of 97;

HO-6131874

Give a complete custom look to your Valkyrie with this classic chrome-plated backrest highlight, or add it where you like to show off your Valkyrie Pride.
Part #: HO-6131874

$31.95

I couldn't find the windshield one even listed? but then........you didn't ask about that anyway...but i know... i added it to my 97....and they looked it up at the local dealer and called in "windshield garnish". But THAT piece is curved...to fit the windshield bracket.

I'm hoping the one i listed above...that says Tourer....IS the bag one you asked about ? i hope.....on the parts break down, again....it looked like that part was NOT available...but was part of the bag. But HDL is selling 'something" that looks like it might be it (the part in the post above).

That's the best i can do for ya'

The review on the part in the link stated for the saddlebags. I think it's what I was looking for. Thanks again.  cooldude Dave

pics of the emblem on side covers ....from some years ago!

other side

NOTE....they are NOT in the center....but in upper right corner on one side and uppper left corner on other side...due to the CURVE...in the side covers. That area of the cover is flat enough...to put THAT emblem there (HO-6131874  part).
